Rainbow Trout
Westover Hatchery offers top quality rainbow trout in a variety of sizes to meet anyone's individual needs. While the typical size of a trout is approximately one pound, we realize that a restaurant may have specific size preferences, and that a pond owner may want to have numerous sizes for a more diverse fishery. Rest assured that we are prepared to meet any of these requests. As a Missouri State Certified Disease-Free hatchery, you are assured to receive only the finest, healthiest trout available.
Pond owners should also be aware that trout are dependent upon colder, oxygenated water for their survival. So while they won?t likely survive year round in a pond environment, they will do very well fall through spring. This makes them a great seasonal addition to a pond already containing warm water species, as there is no concern regarding competition for food. Depending on weather, our delivery timeframe for ponds typically falls between October and April, and we are always more than happy to deliver fish as often as you require.
